About
Conor Quinn (b. 1998) is a painter and soft-sculptor with a background in stop-motion animation. As a queer artist growing up in a Catholic environment Conor’s work originally comprised of handmade puppets with no resemblance to gender or the societal norms with which it is saddled with the means to portray a range of relationships between the characters in his paintings while preserving his privacy. This initial shame that controlled his work later turned into a needlessness for an audience’s comprehension or approval, therefore maintaining its style and remaining a fundamentally queer practice.
