About
Conor Quinn (b. 1998) is a painter and soft-sculptor with a background in stop-motion animation. As a queer artist growing up in a Catholic environment Conor’s work originally comprised of handmade puppets with no resemblance to gender or the societal norms with which it is saddled. This meant he could portray a range of relationships between the characters in his paintings while preserving his privacy. This initial shame that controlled his work later turned into a needlessness for an audience’s comprehension or approval, therefore maintaining its style and remaining a fundamentally queer practice.
Quinn completed his Masters in painting at the Royal College of Art in 2025 and has upcoming solo exhibitions in both London and Shanghai later this year.
